Responsibilities This person will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable function, including: the recording of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records, preparing reports that summarize and forecast business activity, and standardizing and streamlining work procedures. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical due to the volume of inquiries received. The overall goal of the team is to process payments accurately and timely, while striving for high internal and external customer satisfaction.
General knowledge and understanding on Financial Accounting and internal controls related to the purchase to pay process Maintain good communication with external and internal customers Resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons Handle requests for information/reports from management, auditors or other business units. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department and process improvements. Monitor AP general mailbox to ensure e-mails are addressed promptly and meets SLA Review Accounts Payable statements and follow-up with vendors as needed Ensure that internal controls and procedures are followed and identify any discrepancies to management Diligently follow up on approval of invoices to ensure prompt, timely payments to vendors; escalate issues as appropriate Resolve outstanding aging balances for vendors, using knowledge of business systems and their relationship to Accounts Payable Participate in the month end and year end close process Assist with developing and maintaining Accounts Payable process documentation Monitor supplier invoices for discount opportunities Assist with special projects as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required A minimum of five years' experience in full cycle accounts payable review and analysis required Expert understanding of business processes of accounts payable required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality required Strong ERP experience required Ability to analyze, develop and implement responses to operational process challenges Adherence to SOX standards and procedures Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively identify issues and solutions Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands, establish priorities, and effective time management Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Intermediate Excel skills required Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills Strong work ethic, and high integrity Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Must have the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy Must possess a keen eye for detail and be able to troubleshoot problems effectively We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: PTO Paid Holidays Tuition Assistance Low-Cost Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance Accident Insurance Advancement Opportunities And Much More!
