Kelly has an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Boston, MA to take a key leadership position with a modern Property Investment firm. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a starting salary of $100,000 , an annual bonus structure, aa comprehensive benefits package, and a hybrid schedule with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote. In this role, you will supervise a highly performing team of Staff Accountants and A/P reps in daily accounting and financial responsibilities. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Manage a small team of accounting professionals by collecting data, defining problems, establishing facts, and drawing accurate conclusions
• Monthly review of accrual based financial statements
• Consistently evaluate accounting and internal control processes with a focus on improvement
• Problem solving of accounting of assets and expenditures
• Oversee monthly cash and balance sheet reconciliations
• Management and planning of company budget process
• Partner in the coordination of annual reviews and audits
• Create and manage ad hoc projects as needed Skills and Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance / Accounting environment with a strong base and blend of technical and analytical skills
• Demonstrated supervisor experience as an Accounting Manager or similar title required
• Proven track record of success managing a smaller accounting team
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Property and/or Real Estate Accounting experience required
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent skills in AppFolio or similar software is essential
