Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated,abandoned, or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager who is responsible forthe overall management of our Accounting Department. The AccountingManager plays a key role in overseeing accounts payable, accountsreceivable, grants receivable, payroll, and all manual journal entrieswhile complying with agency confidentiality policies and assuring theconfidentiality of agency accounting records. This position supervisesand mentors billing, accounts payable, and payroll staff. Job dutiesalso included developing and maintaining systems that ensure accuracy,timely processing, and confidentiality of financial information andreporting relating to job responsibilities; facilitating the allocationof shared costs to our various programs; being prepared to respond toannounced and unannounced audits which includes providing immediatepresentation of documents, reports and related supportingdocumentation/notes; presenting a professional and positive leadershipinfluence within the Agency and Accounting team; and responding to theCFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financialreporting. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor\'sdegree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experienceand minimum of 1 year of professional supervisory experience. Preferredcandidates will have their CMA and/or CPA with at least 2 years ofexperience in not-for-profit accounting. Required skills include theability to assume authority constructively, coordinate and managemultiple tasks, and maintain self-motivation to be able to workindependently. Other skills include being detail-oriented to effectivelymanage the accounting and budgeting systems, excellent interpersonal andorganizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communicationskills. A valid driver\'s license with a reliable vehicle, autoinsurance and an acceptable driving record are required for thisposition.
