Additional responsibilities include maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, placing focus on optimizing department processes to increase accuracy and efficiency, conduct a variety of value added financial, operational and business process reviews in collaboration with other functions.Primary Responsibilities:Leads the accounting team with day-to-day responsibilitiesEnsures general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Establishing and maintaining internal controlsCoordinating or assisting with the budget processEnsure timely monthly close Manage the preparation and consolidation of the monthly Financial StatementsEvaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variancesManage audit and preparation of audit report with external corporate auditors Prepares other management and statutory reports, as requiredProviding monthly, quarterly and year-end analysisResearch, analyze and document technical accounting pronouncements and emerging issues as they pertain to the Company Manage all aspects of the Company's tax reporting function ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings Coordinate with the Company's tax advisors on all related aspects Coordinate with management to develop and improve accounting policies, procedures and information flowWork with all functions to develop and implement key business processes and appropriate controls.
