We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our firm as part of the Concierge Advisory and Accounting team. As a Concierge Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing financials, budgeting and managing staff time, supervising & mentoring a team of accountants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insight through interpretation, analysis, and proper presentation of financial data. You will play an integral role in the management & collaboration of our specialized client engagements. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the success of our clients' financial management and support our firm's reputation for excellence.

Requires successful demonstration via assessment of standard skills and competencies required for role.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Oversee and Review Financials:

Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for our clients, including sales tax compliance matters.
Review client financial statements to identify any discrepancies, errors, or areas of improvement, and communicate recommendations to Concierge Team Lead.
Provide guidance and recommendations to clients' Concierge Team Lead for enhancing client financial performance.

Supervise and Mentor a Team of Accountants:

Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within our firm.

Assist the Concierge team with Client Engagements and Projects

Mentor and provide oversight to engagement team members.
Be a key player in the collaboration, management and execution of client engagements and relationships.
Analyze and review monthly financial results and variation analyses with Team Lead, make recommendations, and assist or support the leadership team to identify the path and the levers to sustainable growth, profitability, and other objectives
Provide recommendations for best practices and streamlined accounting processes for financial reporting, compliance, and internal control adequacy and efficiencies.
Provide consultation and implementation support for accounting system best practices, software selection and implementation.
Assist in the research of new accounting guidance, technical accounting transactions and reporting rules and regulations.
Research, analyze and document complex company transactions.
Think innovatively and seek continual practical improvements through technology in workflow and deliverables.
Monitor work programs, budgets and engagement teams for special projects and outsourced accounting engagements.

Ensure Compliance with Accounting Standards and Regulations:

Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
Provide guidance on compliance requirements specific to the client industries.
Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and minimize financial risks for our clients.

Bring Highly Experienced Skills:

Utilize your extensive experience in interpreting financial data to provide insights and analysis for our clients and our team members.
Present financial information in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement and value creation for clients and within our firm.
Be a fanatic about accuracy, precision and timeliness.
Provide clients and team members with a WOW experience.

What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or other applicable certification is preferred.
Proven experience and success as an Accounting manager, preferably with 8+ years of managerial experience.
Proven record as a manager and leader.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Technology driven and astute; proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel, including Pivot & VLOOKUP). Preferred experience in QuickBooks Desktop and Online, and cloud accounting technology tools, with demonstrated ability to embrace new systems, processes, technology, and ideas.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a remote team/client organization using tools such as MS Teams and Zoom.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience translating financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance individuals.
Empathic, with the ability to see the big picture, and understand how things relate and affect one another within the clients' books and their business.
Must be an independent, resourceful self-starter, and desire to participate in a dynamic team environment with high ethical standards and Core Values that mirror those of our firm.
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in financial analysis and reporting tools.
