Accounting & Finance Manager We are hiring an Accounting and Finance Manager for our office! We are a family-owned business specializing in commercial and residential heating and cooling. What You'll Do Perform cost accounting and other related tasks Create monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements Manage the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and conduct monthly book closures Set up new accounts and code invoices Confirm deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and handle inquiries from financial institutions. Oversee invoicing and collections for accounts receivable, and reconcile customer accounts Oversee accounts payable to maintain accurate financial records and ensure vendors are paid promptly. Confirm the payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and verify that payments are allocated to the correct accounts Manage payroll processing and payroll reports. Collaborate with software vendors to maintain the accounting software system; suggest upgrades to improve its functionality. Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, and maintain positive relationships within the team. Policy Development: Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and a positive work environment. Payroll and Compliance: Ensure accurate payroll processing; stay updated on labor laws and compliance requirements. What you need to succeed: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Adept at using accounting software applications such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Able to pass a drug screening and background check Benefits: Pay based on experience Comprehensive medical and dental insurance.
