This position will provide administrative support for the Transportation Department by complying and computing freight rates and other charges for transportation services according to rate tables and tariff rates. Perform a variety of activities to ensure accurate commission payable.
Review all records associated with bills to ensure accuracy. Compile and maintain documents and records Respond to billing inquiries in a timely manner. Scan, route, or enter various payables according to business unit and appropriate manager. Closely interface with dispatchers with a billing focus. Ensure payroll deadlines are met each week. Assist in establishing new procedures Troubleshoot and problem solve any issues that arise. Other duties assigned as needed. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel). Accuracy and strong attention to detail. Great attitude. Excellent punctuality and attendance. Must be self-motivated, capable of working independently and with others. Strong organization and research skills. Good customer service and human relations skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong oral/written and interpersonal skills. Able to implement and drive efficient processes. Must be able to perform repetitive motion and fine manipulation tasks for long intervals of time. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Regularly moves items weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions.
