Primary responsibility will be to assist in various accounting tasks, ensuring the accurate and efficient management of financial data. Accounting Clerk will support the finance team in activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable: Review all incoming invoices for accuracy and appropriate documentation. Verify purchase orders against invoices. Prioritize invoices based on payment terms and cash discount potential. Research and resolve discrepancies and issues promptly. Maintain vendor statements and ensure timely payments. Accounts Receivable: Prepare and submit customer invoices accurately and on time. Post customer payments and update the accounts receivable ledger. Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payments. Enter vendor invoices for payment processing and generate payment ledgers. Conduct account adjustments when necessary before the billing process. General Ledger: Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring accuracy. Work with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. Administrative Tasks: Perform filing and other general administrative duties related to financial records. Maintain a high level of discretion with sensitive financial information. Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with various departments, including interactions with Directors, Managers, Leads, and Vendors, to facilitate financial processes. Communicate proactively with the accounting team to streamline operations. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to financial accuracy. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Previous experience in accounting or financial roles is advantageous but not required. A high degree of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
