Twin Lakes is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Accounting Associate for our Corporate office in Gainesboro, Tennessee. An Accounting Associate is primarily responsible for processing accounts payable, researching discrepancies, reconciling cash receipts and bank deposits, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues. Must perform duties effectively and ethically with attention to detail, keeping strict confidentiality, with focus on accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement. Must be able to multi-task in a professional, fast paced environment.
Functions and Abilities of the Position: Prepares, reconciles, and posts bank deposits and cash receipts to the financial accounting system. Reviews and processes Carrier Access Billing deposits and analyzes and prepares monthly payment reports to consultants. Compiles and prepares payroll by reviewing and processing timesheet summaries for payroll processing. Prepares and analyzes monthly budget comparisons. Prepares, reconciles, and posts expenses to the financial accounting system completing the credit card reconciliation. Knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts (Part 32) as prescribed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Must possess knowledge of accounting and payroll principles and practices. Must possess ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments with frequent interruptions. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality. Requirements The successful candidate must have either a Bachelor or Associate degree in Accounting. This requirement may be temporarily waived with significant relevant accounting experience. Bachelor or Associate degree must be obtained within the probationary period of employment.
