Job Description and Duties
This position functions as the manager over the Local Assistance Reporting and Disbursements section within the Accounting Office. The incumbent is directly responsible for managing the disbursement of the department's local assistance funds and the required federal financial reports. This position is expected to plan, organize, and direct the activities of Accounting Administrator I managers and professional accounting staff to ensure the department's accounting and related fiscal goals and objectives are met within the framework of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable State and Federal rules and regulations.

The incumbent must have comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and practices, the State's accounting and budgeting processes, budget analysis, cash management, fund accounting, systems and procedures development, and applicable State and Federal fiscal rules and regulations. Additionally, the incumbent must also be knowledgeable regarding the Financial Information System for California (FI$CAL) and managerial/organizational theory and techniques.

Working Conditions
This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. A hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and physically reporting to the office.
