POSITION OVERVIEW
The accountant position is accountable for the accounting operations of the department, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive system of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is a critical component to the company's success and financial health. An accountant can be expected to perform the following tasks: Performs Accounts Payable functions including recording invoices, investigating discrepancies, and account reconciliation. Enters routine journal entries. Enters AP bills and credit card transactions if needed. Performs month-end closing and reconciliation. Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information. Assists in budget preparation and reporting. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Computer Science, Math, Business or related field OR equivalent combination of technical training/certification; work experience that demonstrates technical competency is required. Experience processing accounts payables. Ability to think critically and experience with independent problem-solving. Ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Experience gathering and organizing data from a variety of systems/sources to perform a task. DESIRED QUALIFICATION
1 year of accrual basis accounting working experiences including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and data reporting Summer position 30-40 hours between hours of 8-5 M-F Contact
