The Opportunity The Accountant II position is within the Controller's Group reporting to a Manager within the Debt Accounting & Securitization Operations (DASO) team. The candidate would be directly responsible for the whole loan daily cash movements, accounting, and investor reporting, as well as reporting on system refinements and updates applicable to DASO. This person would work very closely with other members of DASO, legal and Capital Markets - Funding.
The Work Itself Coordinate daily cash movements, monthly activities, and address whole loan servicing questions with internal customers and whole loan investors Engage in investor report creation, review, and distribution, ensuring servicing activity results are accurate and timely Drive necessary securitization system changes and overall process transparency/documentation Accountable for journal entries and account reconciliations to support securitization accounting and reporting Responsible for legal entity accounting, review, and analysis · Collaborate with business partners to ensure all funding initiatives and objectives are successful Drive special projects and address ad hoc requests, as required Identify and implement process improvement and risk mitigation Assess and drive compliance with any internal/external audit and Reg AB servicing requirements The Skills You Bring 2+ years of accounting experience required Bachelor's degree (Accounting major preferred) CPA (or equivalent) and /or MBA preferred Proficiency in Excel (pivots, vlookups, index matches, etc) is required Experience with SAP, Blackline, or other accounting applications preferred Should possess general technical accounting skills Detail oriented, energetic, motivated, accountable and takes initiative Ability to organize data, perform independent analysis, and provide explanations/conclusions to management Ability to communicate across levels of business (both vertically and horizontally) Flexible and can work independently as well as in a team environment Excellent data management skills How We'll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
