Perform moderately difficult tasks for the company's accounting function. Interface with Contracts on issues relating to government accounting standards.
Primary & Essential Responsibilities Perform moderately difficult tasks for the company's accounting function Interface with Contracts on issues relating to government accounting standards Track and forecast contract profit/loss Review WBS costs and structure - direct/indirect Analyze subsidiary ledgers and reconcile to general ledger Perform payroll related functions such as timesheet processing and reporting Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Apply principles of accounting to monitor and analyze financial information, and prepare specialized reports Assist in preparing accounting statements (i.e., profit/loss, income, cash flow, etc.) and schedules Record assets and liabilities and other financial transactions Maintain records of disbursements and expenses including P-Cards, reimbursement expenses, accounts payable, etc. Review accounts and reports for accuracy and support both internal and external audits Contribute to improving processes and procedures that accurately capture, track and report on financial transactions Ensure adherence to and communication of accounting policies and procedures Participate in team efforts to improve functioning of the department and generate needed results Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 2 years directly related of experience, preferably in a government contracting environment (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
