Position: Staff AccountantReports To: ControllerHours: 8am - 5pm, Monday through FridayLocation: On-site in Melbourne office. At Paul Davis, our passion for quality drives everything we do.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:Participate in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepares monthly financial statements (balance sheet and income statement)Prepares other miscellaneous financial reports (1099s, sales/use tax, banking-related)Review job costs and overheads for corrective actionAssists with obtaining and reporting key performance indicator (metrics) dataControls banking activities and reconciles bank and credit card accountsCoordinates accounting records with the CPA to ensure financial status of the franchise is properly reflectedManages the A/P process, including vendor invoicing and paymentsCompiles and reviews labor hours and processes payrollManages business licenses and insuranceRecord, process, and follow up on Workers Compensation/Vehicle AccidentsResponsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation employment lawsCompiles and reviews labor hours and processes payrollManage all phases of job costingAssist other team members when needed and foster a positive working relationship with other departments.Applicant Qualifications (Requirements):Desire to join a world-class team and contribute a positive attitude2+ years in customer serviceDegree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)Accounting experience 3 years (Required)Be a great representative of our brand with skills, ask questions and monitor various aspects of the business to detect problemsPrior Construction Accounting Experience (Preferred)QuickBooks Online experience (Preferred)Microsoft office experience 2 years (Preferred)Benefits:PTO – Paid Time offCompany paid holidaysMedical, Dental and Vision BenefitsSimple IRA with employer contributionCompany recognitionPaid Professional and Industry certifications and trainingReferral programGreat culture and team dynamicDisclaimer: Paul Davis Restoration is an equal opportunity employer.
