Position Due to the firm's growth, they need an experienced technical account manager to develop, grow, and maintain business in the continental United States This person will be calling on a variety of personnel, including upper-level decision-makers at multinational firms This person will be responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the building products and construction industry Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for customers, both short and long-term Manages and owns the overall account relationship with customers and is the "face" of the firm to the customer Because this is a very strategic role, this person must have a regular presence in their Toledo-area headquarters About 25% of overnight travel is required
Qualifications Four or more years of specialty chemical sales experience is required, preferably in the coatings or adhesives market A four-year bachelor's degree is required (business, marketing, chemical engineering, and chemistry degrees are most preferred) The company greatly values intellectual curiosity and high-energy Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
