The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is seeking an Account Manager in New YorkThis role involves frequent travel to meet clientsResponsibilities include strengthening client relationships and improving client engagement

Responsibilities
• Meet with existing strategic accounts and maintain relationships• Negotiate renewal terms and sell additional subscription services• Demonstrate EIU services and connect capabilities with client needs• Achieve business growth through up-sell and cross-sell opportunities• Identify risk within assigned accounts and present solutions• Manage customer success activities and provide accurate renewal forecasts• Prepare sales reports and engage with colleagues on sales matters• Stay informed about competitive landscape and business trends• Maintain proficiency in written and verbal communication• Exceed retention and sales quotas
Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in international affairs or economics, or equivalent work experience• Experience with Salesforce.com and forecasting tools• Prior experience in selling information and intelligence solutions• Proficiency in English and Spanish with business-level fluency in other languages an advantage• Demonstrable relationship building and communication skills• Self-motivated and driven with excellent organizational and follow-up skills• Successful track record of exceeding retention and sales quotas• Willingness to travel and ability to organize trips effectively
