Responsibilities
• Provide behavior coaching and support to school-based staff• Develop and maintain a data system to monitor implementation of core instructional practices and interventions• Analyze data to determine schools in need of focused behavior intervention• Collaborate with district departments in the development of professional learning activities• Function within state and federal guidelines for MTSS and IDEA• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal policies and procedures applicable to special education• Extensive knowledge of Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) academic and behavior data• Considerable ability to collect, interpret, and analyze student data• Experience with effectively coaching teams and individuals• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely• Master's degree in Special Education, General Education, or related field• Five years of successful K-12 teaching experience• Hold or be eligible to hold North Carolina Professional Educator's License• Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license• Leadership experience at the school or central services level
