Salary Information $28.25 per hour.

Job Summary Provide support to the Public & Community Services pathway and Mortuary Science academic department through serving as a Pathway Navigator for incoming and current DMACC students. The part-time Navigator will coordinate new student onboarding, provide academic advising, and make necessary referrals to new and current students in Public & Community Services programs. Part-time navigator will advise students in all phases of academic and career planning, including program and course information, scheduling, registration, transfer requirements, and articulation agreements. Part-time navigator will also work closely with New Student Orientation and provide support through coordination of materials, logistics of the programs, and assisting students with their transition to DMACC to completion.

Essential Functions Inform and advise prospective and current students in all phases of education planning, college services, and community resources. Assist with the coordination, organization, and logistics of new student orientation sessions for all parties involved. Assist with the transition of new students to the institution through informational presentations and transcript monitoring. Participate in discussions with stakeholders of the Programs and provide feedback to improve future programs. Assist in planning, organizing and participating in recruiting events. Aid in accreditation and licensing requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse population of students and education professionals. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and deliver public presentations. Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications Advising, recruitment admissions or related experience. Master's degree in educational administration, student personnel, counseling, or related field. Knowledge of DMACC educational and student services procedures and practices. Strong organizational skills. Experience within an education institution.

Work Schedule 20 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend for recruiting events.
