Major/Essential Functions
Coordinate course scheduling for all academic terms, manage course openings and closures, secure classrooms for face-to-face sections, create faculty contracts, obtain instructor supervisor permissions, and conduct teaching availability surveys for upcoming terms.
Assist the Administration & Finance team with monthly account reconciliation, purchase order processing, and expense tracking for BUS Instructional Resources.
Facilitate communication between faculty and staff with the Learning Management System (LMS) team and Raider Success Hub staff, providing support for technical issues, LMS inquiries, alert escalation, and grade submissions.
Ensure timely completion of faculty meetings, meeting minutes, faculty evaluations, association memberships, Office of the Registrar course scheduling, and faculty midterm/final grading.
Assist the director with faculty credentialing for new courses and annual RWAAs.
Maintain an inventory of textbooks, order new editions as needed, and manage computer hardware inventory and disposal.
Collaborate with advising staff at the beginning of terms, facilitating overrides, section openings/closures, and classroom changes.
Coordinate ePAF preparation and assist with hiring, onboarding, and exit processes for all University Studies faculty.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
It is preferred the ideal candidate to possess expertise in Texas Tech University software and procedures. Additionally, proficiency in event planning and analytical skills are highly desirable attributes.
Academic Administration:
Description: Familiarity with academic procedures, such as course scheduling, faculty support, and student services.
Importance: Understanding the academic landscape enables the assistant to efficiently coordinate activities, support faculty members, and facilitate communication within the academic community.
Faculty Support and Liaison:
Description: Ability to provide administrative support to faculty members, including managing schedules, handling correspondence, and serving as a liaison between faculty and administrative offices.
Importance: Facilitating effective communication and support between faculty and administrative functions contributes to the overall efficiency and success of academic operations.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
