See the Faculty Salaries At-a-Glance guide for more information.Priority Review Date:05/01/2023; complete applications received after that date may be considered as needs arise.Position Summary:The Mathematics and Statistics Department in the College of Natural Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2023-24 academic year. Courses in need of coverage may include supported classes (college algebra, finite math for business, introduction to statistics), hybrid classes (introduction to statistics, business statistics) trigonometry, precalculus; occasionally calculus, linear algebra, or differential equations. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.Minimum Qualifications:The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is an MA or MS in Mathematics or a related field.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred qualifications include a PhD or previous teaching experience. Candidates with an ability and interest in teaching calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations are preferred. Bilingual candidates will be given preference.Responsibilities:Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching lower division undergraduate courses.
