Weekend Brake Press Operator Pay: $18/hr +. (Depends on experience)
Hours : Friday- Sunday 5AM-5:30PM OR 5:30PM -5AM (Work 36, paid 40!)

Job Description: The Brake Press operator will set up and operate a power brake to manipulate metal plates, sheet metal, and structural shapes according to blueprint or sketch specifications. This involves selecting, positioning, and aligning dies in the machine ram and bed. The workpiece is then positioned manually or with the assistance of a crane, aligning layout marks to the dies. The operator must be capable of starting the machine to lower the ram or activating the ram through pedal control to bend or cut the metal. They should also be able to set stops on the machine bed and reposition stock for successive pieces or multiple operations. Furthermore, verifying the dimensions of the workpiece is crucial. While prior experience is preferred, it is not required for this role.
