Responsibilities Team Support and Leadership Train employees on all aspects of the warehouse Work collaboratively with department leads on manners within the plant Serve as the main trainer for new and current warehouse associates Ensure that all warehouse associates have the tools and understanding to succeed in their positions Coach associates in the warehouse on performance, work with management if discipline is necessary Work alongside the Warehouse Supervisor during performance review process Address any associate conflicts, complaints or concerns within a timely manner, involving management and or/HR as necessary. Material Handling and Inventory Responsibilities Responsible for prioritizing warehouse duties with associates Ensure safety, food safety, and quality procedures are being following in the warehouse Operate sit-down and stand-up electric forklifts, and power or manual pallet jacks. Load and unload product from semi-trailers, filling out proper paperwork that supports system transactions and Food Safety initiatives. Inspect all products for defects and damages Inspect internal and external based trailers for any sign of defect or damage that would put contents at risk Operate yard horse to move trailers from docks Pull and stage raw materials for production. Pull and stage orders for shipment and verify paperwork. Transport finished goods between warehouse and loading dock area in a safe and efficient manner Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with pick tickets Rotate stock per FIFO method, with goal of ensuring highest quality of ingredients are used. Have a basic understanding of ERP/Warehouse software and how to utilize them within the scope of the position. Embody willingness and ability to best utilize this software Schedule trucks/pick up times in the absence of the Logistics Manager Report any discrepancies with inventory of finished goods and raw materials General clean-up of the warehouse and dock area to support safe and clean work environment All other duties assigned Experience & Training Warehouse experience required Leadership experience preferred Licenses & Certifications Forklift Certification - Required Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities Ability to understand written or spoken English instructions Ability to speak and write in English Ability to work with pork, dairy, soy, wheat, egg, shellfish, nut products, and fish Ability to work individually and as a member of a team Demonstration of phenomenal technical skills. Project management skills. Leadership from design through installation Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with other departments Reliability and accuracy Attention to detail and high sense of urgency Microsoft Office - Excel and Outlook Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older
