DescriptionPosition at Millcreek Animal Hospital Millcreek Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team! Must be able to perform under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, and work well independently as well as on a team. Attention to detail is a must. Pay Range: $16 - $20 / hour
Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $16 - $20 / hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Shifts: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 6pm with 1 hour lunch & one day off during the week
Every Other Sat/Sun Kennel shift rotation

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist veterinarians in providing care for patients including appointments, surgeries, supportive care, and diagnosticsPerform safe restraint techniquesObtain patient histories and maintain accurate and comprehensive medical recordsBlood drawIV catheter placementDrug calculationsAnesthesia monitoringDental prophylaxisRadiologyLaboratory duties; fecal exam, urinalysis, run blood-work and prepare samples. Monitor hospitalized patientsAdmit and discharge patientsClient communication and educationPrepare and administer vaccines and medications Maintain cleanliness of hospital and groundsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer experience is requiredAbility to multi-task and be proactiveAbility to triage, prioritize and possess excellent time management skills. Close attention to detail is crucialAbility to communicate with staff and clients in a professional and respectful mannerRequirements: Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or Equivalent Experience.
