User Experience Designer As a UX Designer, you will work with fast-paced and matrixed development teams who build software for laboratories and hospitals. You will apply your knowledge of software design principles, human factors principles, techniques and design best/emerging practice to produce experiences that meet and exceed customer needs and business needs.
Essential Skills & Qualifications: Ability to analyze and interpret complicated data Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills Ability to co-present and defend design and research findings to stakeholders Strong desire to participate consistently in a greater design team Ability to present work and findings in a compelling and persuasive manner Main Responsibilities : Design and document complex and original Lab software user interfaces using journey maps, Jobs to be Done frameworks, personas, wireframes, and prototypes; actively solicits the involvement of team members to ensure cross-product coordination, feasibility, and consistency Work closely with team members to develop software designs that reflect an understanding of the Jobs to Be Done and requirements Partner with the User Experience Research team and Requirements Engineers to schedule and ingest insights from customer feedback/usability sessions Conduct heuristic reviews of screens and applications Serve as an internal expert in usability and accessibility, design methods, mentoring less-experienced team members Work on multiple projects concurrently Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Requirements Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel may be required. Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours Travel to client sites that can pose risks associated with healthcare organization. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $84,000 to $115,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
