Company Overview: My client is a dynamic engineering consulting firm specializing in transportation planning, design, and analysis. They are seeking a talented and motivated Traffic Engineer with either an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our growing team.
Position Overview: The Traffic Engineer will play a key role in supporting the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a wide range of projects, from traffic impact studies and signal design to transportation planning and roadway design. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in traffic engineering principles and methodologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct traffic impact studies, traffic signal design, and transportation planning analyses. Perform traffic capacity and operational analyses using industry-standard software such as Synchro, HCS, and more. Assist in the design and implementation of traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signs, and pavement markings. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including transportation planners, civil engineers, and environmental specialists, to develop integrated solutions to transportation challenges. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, scopes of work, and budgets. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license required within Minimum of 2 years of experience in traffic engineering or related field preferred. Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Synchro and Microstation required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
