Reports to:Cost Engineering Manager
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Cost Engineering Manager, the Estimator will estimate costs and prepare price quotes for product applications required by customers using various calculators and systems already in place, along with preparing spreadsheets to aid in costing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares accurate quotes for new and existing productsCreates cost models in ERP system and in ExcelOrganizes all sales inputs and quote documentation to ensure files are available for project completionAudits estimated cost versus actual cost of completed projectsAnalyzes various pricing scenariosIdentifies cost reduction opportunitiesAssesses manufacturability and makes recommendations to SalesRecognizes tool and fixture requirements and creates estimates accordinglyCommunicates with Sales and Engineering teams to balance quote load and priority QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required.
