Responsibilities
• Conducts needs analysis to determine eligibility of financial aid applicants• Verifies student and parent application data in compliance with federal criteria• Determines financial aid awards according to requirements• Monitors individual student awards and resolves conflicts• Provides financial aid counseling to students and parents• Helps monitor and evaluate student academic progress• Assists with student appeals related to academic progress• Interacts with outside entities for student eligibility process• Informs parents and students about financial aid policy and procedures• Coordinates with Business Office and Student Services• Assists team members when necessary
Requirements
• High school diploma required• Technical diploma or associate's degree preferred• Minimum of 3 years related work or office experience• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint• Prior financial aid experience preferred• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills• Exceptional oral and written communication skills• Creative problem solver• High level of accuracy and attention to detail• Familiarity with academic environment and knowledge of Banner preferred• Willing to work additional hours and travel as necessary
