Our work depends on Telecommunications Specialist - Intermediate joining our team to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). HOW A TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - INTERMEDIATEWILL MAKE AN IMPACT Provides installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems. Designs, develops, implements, tests, debugs, and maintains communications systems. Performs configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems, and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach. Complies with prescribed customer, industry and agency standards. Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectively Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently. Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance. Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience Required Skillset: Mitigate risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projects Review and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository Clearance Level: TS/SCI Required Certification(s): DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent Computing Env: MCSA Server 2016 (You can start with the first exam completed (70-740) and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date.) The likely salary range for this position is $83,096 - $104,754. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
