(Sy) Manager Of Special Education

At Tulsa Legacy Charter School (TLCS), the Manager of Special Education is more than an instructional leader and manager; he/she will help transform the lives of children who qualify for Special Education services, by creating opportunities for a brighter future. The TLCS MSE is responsible for the coaching development of the teachers on the Special Education team, as well as ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, implementing best practices in Special Education, supporting the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support students with disabilities. The MSE reports directly to the Director of Special Populations. Qualifications  Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree preferred 3+ years experience in a Special Education K-12 setting Oklahoma Teaching Certification, strong preference for candidates with endorsements for Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and/or Administration Demonstrated knowledge of Special Education beyond mild-moderate needs Experience with children with Autism preferred Knowledge & Skills Familiarity and experience with Special Education-specific platforms such as EdPlan Knowledge and comfort with technology platforms including: Google Drive, Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, Gmail Ability to implement processes based on trends Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, administration, and parents/guardians.  Must believe in High Expectations, Equals Results (it is not the fish, it is the groundwater.
