MacKay Sposito is seeking a Survey Manager to lead our survey team in Federal Way, WA. In this role, you will direct the work of technical staff and provide expertise on various land surveying projects. You will also provide oversight ensuring the adherence of professional survey quality assurance, and control processes and procedures.

Survey Management Duties
Develop and execute short and long-term strategic direction for the department. Lead and engage Survey Department staff through effective coaching, cross-functional team-building, expectation setting, and implementing professional development. Plan and coordinate work of office technicians and field surveyors. Participate in business development related activities such as maintaining positive current client relationships while Identifying and securing new survey clients and work. Stamp and certify work completed by self and/or others to satisfy legal requirements. PLS - Project Management Duties
Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on deeds and survey data of record.  Provide oversight for the production of Topographic Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Short Plats, Subdivision Plats, Records of Survey, Resegregations, and legal descriptions. Ensure QA/QC of construction staking calculations and staking work is completed by staff. Must be able to communicate with clients, contractors, title companies, etc. Research records and develop work plans for survey projects. Coordinate with survey crews to achieve  project goals. Maintain current knowledge of local, state, case and federal laws as they pertain to survey projects. Manage survey projects, monitor project budgets and review invoices and billing charges related to survey projects. Provide scope and fee proposals for surveying services. Qualifications:
10+ years combined experience in both field and office land surveying. Bachelor's Degree in Surveying or Geomatics. Professional Licensed Surveyor with a license in good standing in the State of Washington required. Supervisory experience required. Strong communication skills and capable of mentoring and training other technical staff. Must be a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail. Land Development and platting experience required. Experience with Civil 3D. Current valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles is required.   Our Values:

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.
The wage range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000 annually.
Full time employees receive a  well rounded benefit package including access to our company sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. 100% company paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% match Additionally, employees also receive paid vacation time, paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays. MacKay Sposito pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual profit sharing bonuses.
Employment requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
