OUR MISSION Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities. HOW OUR SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT DIRECT CARE WORKER MAKES A DIFFERENCE Typical hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00. Flexibility will be needed based on the client's jobs which may include Saturdays and/or Sundays at times.
As an entry-level Supported Employment Direct Care Worker, you support clients in all aspects of the job-hunting process. Working one-on-one with our clients, you help them figure out what types of jobs they'd thrive in and then assist them in obtaining those jobs. You provide support with resumes, interview skills, and job searching, helping clients find gainful employment. If there are any concerns or barriers to employment, you solve the problem the best you can. You offer ongoing support and keep in contact with each client's employer to make sure the new job is a great fit!
