Our Opportunity: Chewy is looking for a Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as a hands-on technical subject matter expert who will contribute to our rapidly growing and continued success. This is a crucial role leading our journey to establish and mature capabilities across the pillars of insights and analytics, data science, business intelligence, and data enablement for the Operations Planning and Strategy Organization.

The Operations Planning and Strategy team operates in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and new opportunities.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions, dashboard, reports for business stakeholders across organizations.
What You'll Do: You'll connect the dots, build trust and understanding between groups, and orchestrate the activities needed to make your projects successful. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key Operational Planning decisions and process improvements. Work closely with cross organizational teams in areas including network/topology planning and design, capacity planning, inventory placement, etc. to continuously optimize customer experience and fulfillment efficiency. Analyze demand and resource requirements against available resources to identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to solve for resource constraints. Provide all levels of the company with updates on Planning metrics, including ongoing analysis and interpretation of data. Present information verbally, as well as in written reports. Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and various technological platforms. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. Respond to high priority requests from senior business leaders. Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary data sets. What You'll Need: The ideal candidate would have excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. This person would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent Relevant professional experience in planning, forecasting and/or Supply Chain Analytics. Master's degree (including MBA) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Analytics, or a related field 3+ years of work experience in building self-serve BI solutions, canned reports, and enterprise level BI solutions. Advanced Excel experience Strong working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries. The ideal candidate should have experience managing large, global, technical projects that interweave multiple functional teams and/or multiple systems. Knowledge of QA methodologies. Experience with project management methodologies. Knowledge of one or more database technologies (Teradata, Vertica, Oracle) and experienced in Cloud Technologies such as Snowflake, AWS. Programming expertise in Java, Python, Scala, or another modern programming language preferred. Experience supporting system configuration, architecture, and software development life cycles 2+ years of experience in the supply chain and/or logistics domain preferably in high-tech / consumer electronics / retail industries. Demonstrates ability to understand and explain complex business processes, systems, and tools with a specific focus on upstream/downstream impact; understands the relationship between multiple functions and/or tools. Experience of dealing with results, metrics and data management and desire to create and build new processes. Top notch communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms and an ability to effectively communicate with technical teams.
