Summer Visitor Information Center Host/Hostess

Job Summary: The Part Time Seasonal VIC Host/Hostess provides accurate and detailed information to visitors.
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides accurate and detailed information about Hot Springs lodging, dining, attractions and current events to visitors. Presents a friendly and hospitable welcome to all visitors. Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of the VIC. Performs duties and functions as assigned by management. Minimum Experience, Skills or Education Required: Must have extensive knowledge of Hot Springs and its attractions. Must have the ability to work independently and to function well under pressure. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to work with different kinds of people in a congenial manner Must have developed language skills to be able to read and comprehend newspapers and periodicals. Must have math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Position requires professional appearance. Must be able to be bonded. Working Conditions: The Summer VIC Host/Hostess works in a climate controlled indoor environment.
Physical Demands: Duties require standing for long periods at a time, stooping and bending and some lifting (10 to 20 pounds). Occasional carrying of 30 pounds.
