As Data Architect and Senior SQL DBA, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the company's data architecture strategy to support business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making. You will lead a small team of database engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of our data assets.
What you'll do:
Experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data architecture solutions to support business requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of databases and data warehouses, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security Experience in developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent the organization's data assets and facilitate data integration and analysis Manage a small team of database engineers and guidance to drive team success and professional growth Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements (SOC2, HIPAA, etc.) Design and implement data integration solutions to enable seamless data flow between internal systems and external sources, maximizing the value of our data assets Identify optimization opportunities and resolve performance bottlenecks across the data infrastructure stack, including databases and ETL processes Implement and maintain security controls and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data assets, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and frameworks Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, product, machine learning, and business operations to deliver solutions that meet business needs Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data management technologies and tools, evaluating potential impact and applicability to the organization's data architecture strategy Requirements What you'll need:
Proven record of leadership in data architecture and database management, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts, with extensive experience in relational and NoSQL databases Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Experience leading and managing a team of database engineers, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture Understanding of data governance principles, data security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements Solid grasp of data integration techniques and tools, including ETL processes, APIs, and data pipelines Posess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and propose effective solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization Strategic thinking and vision, with the ability to anticipate future data architecture needs and proactively address them Benefits -Competitive Salary
