Job Description The Copyright Administration Specialist, reporting to the Copyright Administration Manager, will liaise directly with TuneCore artists and our legal team for all issues related to rights assertion, and help resolve ownership disputes, DMCA claims, and other legal issues related to copyright and intellectual property. They will be responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the Copyright Administration team, and work collaboratively with TuneCore's Staff Attorneys, Artist Support, Publishing Administration, Fraud, and Content Review & Rights Administration teams to ensure the legitimacy of our clients' copyrights.
The ideal candidate has an intermediate understanding of DMCA laws and a basic understanding of mechanical licensing, and other common music licenses. They also have strong written communication and organizational skills.
Specific Duties:
Execute the flow of day-to-day operations, prioritize workload, and handle client tickets.Process DMCA, store, and internal claims as is required by law and/or company policy.Respond to basic questions about copyright/IP from clients.Work cross-functionally to resolve copyright and ownership disputes.Communicate with digital music services to facilitate requests for release takedown due to Copyright claims.Contribute to a team environment that encourages accountability, high standards and optimization. Perform other duties as assigned by management.Salary: $47,900 - $57,500 Qualifications 1+ years of hands-on experience with Copyright/DMCA in a customer-facing role.1-2 years of general customer-facing experience in a technical or entertainment industry environment.Trust & safety/operations management experience preferred.Experience working with creatives preferred.Education:
BA/BS preferred.Knowledge/Certifications:

This role will be based out of our Nashville office. TuneCore operates on an in-office and remote hybrid model giving our teams flexibility and choice of how they work. When our employees return to the office post COVID they will have the option to work predominantly remotely and work from the office 7 days per month on a flexible schedule organized at the department level.
