Job Summary: Operates a variety of heavy equipment, vehicles, and tooling used in construction and/or plant production activities.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working outdoors in a challenging and regularly changing environment, performing a variety of manual tasks, operating tools and equipment, and supporting a team of professionals in achieving daily production goals. Main Responsibilities: • Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies 
• Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly
• Operate heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and other mobile equipment used in completion of construction projects and/or in support of production operations
• Operate other tools and equipment as required for assigned tasks
• Perform minor equipment maintenance tasks, including but not limited to as greasing and checking oil and fluids
• Drive company vehicles to worksites and company locations when authorized
Education: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid drivers' license (ability to maintain a clean driving history required)
Skills: • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in operation of heavy equipment operation preferred
• Ability to work with others in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and problem-solve
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Physical Requirements: • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) 
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 
• Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
• Regularly required to work from a seated position operating equipment for long periods
• Frequent exposure to loud noise 
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
• Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
• Occasionally exposed to working from high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock
Compensation and Benefits: Compensation*: $24.00 - $28.00 DOE
*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual's qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.
Benefits: All full-time hourly employees are eligible to participate in Simon benefits as defined in plan documents.
