Verizon Employee Discount)Red Wing Shoe Safety Footwear ProgramJOB SUMMARY: Effectively and efficiently coordinates completion of customer repairs thorough RO development from opening to closing, accurate assignment of work to technician and continually updating customer with preferred communication method (phone, text, email, or face-to-face if on premises).ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Schedules service work for efficient and productive work outcomesGreets customers in a timely friendly mannerCreates, writes and completes repair orders per truck including:* Documenting accurate description of customer complaintsReferences vehicle history, warranty coverage, open campaigns, etc.Creates and communicates estimates – cost and time to repair - to customerDetermines payment methods and obtains required approvals from Credit Manager if cost exceeds current A/R statusFacilitates collection of A/R over 60 days if account status is insufficient (working with truck owner, not truck driver if different)Obtains customer PO or documented approval and signatures from customer prior to commencing repairsExplains repairs to customers on a timely basisAudits repair orders for completion (customer pay and warranty ROs) and closes RO within 2 days of last touch by a technicianUpdates customers on repair statusUp-sells when appropriateCoordinates customer parkingResponds to telephone and in-person inquiries in a professional manner and in accordance with the Pledge of ExcellenceMaintains professional appearanceKeeps work area cleanOther duties to meet business requirements.ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 6 months of mechanical experience in transportation industryKEY ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / CHARACTERISTICS:Excellent interpersonal and communications skillsReliable/dependableHighly organizedThorough and detail orientedPractical knowledge and abilities to use computer and computer applicationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Service writing/advising experienceCDL holderBackground and understanding of trucks and truck equipmentExperience working in a truck repair facilityCustomer service experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
