A global entertainment company is seeking a Senior Royalty Accountant to join their team in Orlando, FL!
Work Schedule: In-office Wed. + Thurs.
Pay Range - $75.00 - 92.00/hour DOE (W2 Non-Exempt)
Contract: 7 months with potential to extend

The person in this role will be handling licensees with associated royalty statements and the volume is high with 255 contracts to be analyzed. The role will involve the need for analytical ability and the willingness to engage in trial and error until the right solution is found for each licensee.

Duties:
Perform all Licensing Revenue accounting functions including royalty statement processing and analysis, and cash management for assigned North America Games licensee population
Perform Royalty Expense accounting functions including preparation of royalty statements and processing of payments for assigned 3rd party obligations related to developers, name and likeness, and other participations.
Partner with their Contract Administration and Licensing Finance counterparts to ensure proper application of revenue recognition policies and practices, perform analysis and make recommendations on complex issues
Provide ownership of licensee accounts by demonstrating proactive management of all key elements of the revenue process and ensuring timely and accurate results
Perform assigned quarter-end close deliverables and reconciliations
Take leadership role in system and process improvement projects
Various ad-hoc projects and analysis

Basic Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business or similar field
SAP or ERP experience
Knowledge in GAAP and SOX
Must be technical and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills able to extract appropriate financial elements from business deals, contracts, and compiling financial reports.
Advanced PC skills with demonstrated ability to work with large amounts of data in an efficient manner
Must be able to work cross-departmentally and have a strong understanding of process controls to ensure proper financial posting.
Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines while being a team player is required.
