Senior Research Administration Associate - Grants Management Location Hybrid remote in Houston, TX : Summary At the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine we study almost every aspect of breast health and disease and are focused entirely on strategies to prevent, diagnose and treat all breast cancer. We are a multidisciplinary center with an emphasis on translational research. The Center is committed to education and training of our students. Job Duties Submit and monitor grant applications and work with SPO for 3-4 faculty (pre- and/or post-award grant management). Maintain the daily, monthly, and quarterly research financial accounting activities and reports. Conduct financial analysis and prepare special financial reports requested by Administrator when needed. Manage federal, state and industry grants, contracts & subcontract submissions internally and externally. Serve as point of contact between the Office of Research (OOR), sponsors, PIs, collaborating institutions. Gather and create documents necessary for grant submission including budget, budget justification, other support, statement of work, etc and communicate timelines to faculty to ensure applications are submitted on time to central office for review and approval. Review and approve grant application proposals for sections assigned in the College's electronic Biomedical Research and Assurance Information Network (BRAIN). Ensure compliance with all guidelines for funding purpose. Make recommendations for process improvement to increase efficiency and implement changes. Attend workshops on research administration for continued education and contribute to the development and improvement of the pre-/post- award management process Complete quarterly effort reporting in ERS. Approve Concur submissions for assigned faculty. Will assist in Center budget submission (BPC) Participate in monthly meetings with other research admin associates and Administrator. Maintain up-to-date Other Support and biosketches for assigned faculty. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement. Four years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Must be a team player and work well within a group. Must have grants management experience.
