MBL Technologies is seeking a highly experienced and motivated

Senior Principal Information Engineer

to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of vulnerability management, compliance standards, and cybersecurity frameworks. This role requires expertise in managing sophisticated cybersecurity tools and leading complex cybersecurity projects.

This is a hybrid role, with three days of work onsite in the Rockville, Maryland area.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement comprehensive vulnerability management strategies using industry-standard frameworks including USGCB, DISA STIGS, and CIS hardening standards.
Operate and optimize security tools such as Spacewalk, Nessus Security Center, Crowdstrike, Carbon Black, and Archer.
Provide technical leadership in the development and enhancement of security solutions.
Lead the integration of Zero Trust Architecture concepts into existing and future security protocols.
Ensure compliance with FISMA 2014, the Risk Management Framework, and the Privacy Act across all operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's security posture.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits, and lead remediation efforts.
Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on the state of security systems and readiness.
Mentor and guide team members in cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on vulnerability management and security architectures.
Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
At least one Splunk professional certification.
Extensive experience with security tools such as Spacewalk, Nessus Security Center, Crowdstrike, Carbon Black, and Archer.
Proven knowledge of FISMA 2014, Risk Management Framework, the Privacy Act, and Zero Trust Architecture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
