SafeTech USA, a business unit of SK AeroSafety Group, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in their Humble, TX corporate headquarters.

  This is an senior staff level professional position that requires knowledge and experience of accounting, financial reporting and operating processes. Financial Reporting Analysts are expected to use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. They solve complex problems, work independently, and act as a resource for colleagues in need of business and financial analytics to improve the business.

 
The position requires a balance of technical expertise in data manipulation and financial reporting, as well as the ability to work with the business to generate actionable insights from the reports.
The role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of the business, not just analytical skills, in order to make exceptions to revenue reports, pricing models, sales analytics and operating results. Must be able to understand the complexities of different site locations and explain relevant comparative analytics to upper management within the company. This role will work closely with the VP Finance in many financial and operational capacities throughout the business. Responsibilities: Responsible for the preparation, coordination, review, and analysis of the management reporting processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned business units. Provide support and assist with ad hoc requests/special projects for team objectives. Deliver accurate, thorough, well-presented, and actionable ad-hoc analyses under restrictive time constraints. Prepare and/or review Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Variance Analyses to explain business dynamics that drive changes month over month. Prepare and/or review monthly Revenue Analyses to measure performance across all Business Lines. Create, gather and analyze sales and pricing data for use by management for decision-making purposes. Creation of internal reports, including preparation and review of monthly operating reports and analysis of results. Identify and collaborate with business units on process improvements and impacts to revenue, making recommendations to facilitate change. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Regularly contributes actionable ideas in planning sessions. Maintain communication with both internal and external contacts. Assist in special projects, ad hoc requests and initiatives as required. Required Education: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, plus related working experience. 3 -5 years of relevant work experience in financial reporting within a multi-divisional corporation in excess of $50M in revenue. Annual Audit experience from a corporate perspective. Monthly, Quarterly, Annual financial reporting experience. Requires general understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting processes. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including process documentation (i.e., flowcharts). Must also possess strong interpersonal communication skills. Advanced skills in MS Office, Power BI, and SQL script writing. Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, data importing, data consolidation, complex calculations, whatif analysis, countif, sumif, iferror, Macros(VBA), average, Power Query and other advanced skills. Experience in functional systems analysis, including analyzing and documenting business needs and an expert understanding of how applications support the business. Some experience with systems implementation and data conversion experience. Must have the ability to fully grasp and understand revenue accounting issues, processes, procedures and controls. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Quantum software (aviation).
