Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant  Hybrid - Detroit, MI (Sterling Heights) $100K - $120K + Equity + Benefits Reports to the Controller *** High Priority / Immediate Need *** This is a Hybrid role requiring being located in the Detroit Metro area . Full time/perm position, with equity and benefits where you will own the creation and maintenance of accrual-based accounting financial statements for a distribution company.
Qualifications: GL Accounting experience over AR/AP, Accrued Liabilities and Payroll Inventory/Costing experience Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance Quickbooks Online experience required Netsuite or Shopify experience is a plus US GAAP knowledge required
Sufficient ERP enterprise systems knowledge required
Subsidiary to parent reporting and responsibilities
Responsibilities: Accounting for Shopify sales and expense transactions based on Shopify reports
Perfoming bank reconciliations in Quickbooks Online
Posting vendor bills
Posting month-end accrual entries
Running month-end balance sheet and income statement
Inventory and basic cost accounting management
Drafting full BS, P&L and Cash Flow financial statements
Budget vs. actual variance analysis experience
