Responsibilities and Job Details:
Craft and execute captivating English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum tailored to students' needs.
Deliver instruction in English language acquisition, literacy, and language development, utilizing both in-person and virtual platforms.
Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and community members to bolster students' linguistic and academic progress.
Seamlessly incorporate ASL and Portuguese into teaching methods to cater to students' diverse needs.
Participate in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and related activities as necessary.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience, preferably in a K-6 environment.
Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) and Portuguese is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations and English Language Learners (ELLs).
Education and Licensure:
Hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license in ESL.
Bachelor's degree in Education, ESL, Linguistics, or a related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
Job Specifics:
Full-time position for the upcoming academic year, including participation in Extended School Year (ESY) programming.
Open to both on-site and virtual instruction, with flexible scheduling options.
