Saw Grinder Sharpener

The position of carbide sharpener II is to be able to run saw sharpening equipment independently with little guidance as to the general operations and product identification. Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics. Run and inspection saw blades as they are sharpened to print requirements. Maintain equipment, general PM's clean grease and change cutting wheels ect. As required. Maintain proper flow of material through the production area. Keep track of all required paperwork. Notify team member of material shortages. Responsible for housekeeping in work area and follow 6S requirements. Setup and trouble shoot machine issues. Program machines as necessary for new products. Work with SSR and management teams on manufacturing and customer issues. Competencies: Ethical Conduct. Communication Proficiency. Decision Making. Ability to read blueprints and take measurements with calipers and other measuring devices. Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
