Responsibilities
• Assist individual(s) with physical and personal management needs• Support individual(s) in household management and transportation• Assist with medication administration and medical appointments• Facilitate the development of friendships and relationships• Provide opportunities for community and leisure activities• Identify needs for community supports and initiate connections• Empower participants to plan, make choices, and speak for themselves• Maintain collaborative relationships with support team members• Implement individualized plans to achieve specific outcomes• Facilitate and represent individuals in overcoming service barriers• Identify and defuse crisis situations• Apply non-aversive behavior management techniques
Requirements
• Valid Certified Medication Technician in the State of Maryland• Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19• Dependable, responsible, and punctual• Must have a vehicle, car insurance, and a driver's license• Pass a criminal background check and drug testing• Ability to create long-term, trusting relationships with participants• High school diploma required• Behavioral Tech Certificate encouraged• Mandt Training certification encouraged• 1-year behavioral health experience• MANDT Training Certificate required• CMT In Maryland required• Certified Behavioral Health Technician required
