Georgia-Pacific Recycling, a subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific, is one of the largest recycled commodity trading companies in the world. GP Recycling purchases and sells millions of tons of recycled fiber, off- specification rolls, plastic and metal commodities every year. GP Recycling provides its domestic and international customer base with a reliable source of quality recovered wastepaper, rolls, plastic and metal commodities by developing markets and logistics solutions for generators and other suppliers of such recycled materials.
GP Recycling is seeking a Recycling Sales Representative to develop and expand the Ecosource business. We are looking for an individual with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive sales environment. What You Will Do
• Daily demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset and managing your territory like it's your own business with the primary focus on new business development. Determine potential opportunities via creating and maintaining a robust pipeline from prospecting, networking, marketing leads, and other sources that lead to profitable growth.
• Maintain and strengthen customer relationships and actively seek opportunities resulting in growth through professional sales calls, follow ups and incorporating a consultative, creative problem-solving approach to techniques to build your territory and support your customers.
• Proactively manage customer base and prospects to ensure customer needs are understood and met.
• Responsible for identifying industry trends and market analysis including seeking knowledge about the competitive landscape, analyze customer forecast, demands and ordering patterns, reviewing cost models, and interacting with operations teams both internally and externally
• Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and CRM Microsoft Dynamics
• You will have exposure/work cross collaboratively with GP capabilities and act as the liaison between your customers and GP.
• Daily you will maintain a sales pipeline tool, monthly forecast, account profiles, create competitive analysis, develop account strategies, analyze pricing data, and accounts receivable and payable for your assigned accounts.
• Identify and contact prospective clients using both inbound leads and prospecting strategies, including cold calls/emails Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• 2 or more years of outside sales, business development focused work and/or B2B experience with a proven record of success
• Expertise in maintaining and organizing a sales pipeline aimed at generating new business and expanding partnerships with existing customers
• Experience meeting sales objectives/goals in an outside sales position
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
• Willing and able to travel 25-50% (including some overnight etc.) What Will Put You Ahead
• W astepaper experience
• Completion of a sales training program
• Industry experience in packaging, printing, or manufacturing in an outside/B2B sales position
• Outside sales experience
