Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking a 3rd shift Chamfer Inspection Operator between the hours: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM for our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate is responsible to inspect the required amount of material to meet quality and production requirements for finished parts. Are you the one we are looking for? Qualification Requirements High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing settingMechanical aptitude preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven troubleshooting skillsThis job requires a basic command of the English languageStrong multi-task and organizational skillsAbility to use and understand measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, scalesBasic mathematical skillsBasic metric skillsAbility to follow written and verbal directionsSome computer skillsEssential Functions Operate inspection equipment to produce quality material for productionPerform visual inspections of materials per established standardsInform team leader or group leader of any potential problems related to safety, quality, or productivityMeet or exceed required productivity levels per scheduleMaintain proper safety procedures when operating equipmentPerform department housekeeping (5S) duties on a daily basisProduce first-time quality material per customer requirements and standardUse specific measurement gauges, perform required quality control checks to insure established standards are metRecord QC data per third party certification documentation and SPC requirementsAccurately complete all required paperwork and submit at shift endAuthority to stop production, if necessary to correct a quality problem related to the production processPerform other assignments as directedPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistanceAbility to stand for at least 8 hours per dayAbility to stoop, bend, and squatAbility to effectively hold and utilize small hand tools and fastenersAbility to visually detect small defects in materials and partsAbility to hear buzzers, horns, and/or warning signals emitted by production equipmentWho is Oiles America Corporation?
