Purchasing Coordinator

Nesco Resource is partnered with a company that utilizes state-of-the-art advancements in technology to design, prototype, test, and manufacture any rubber product to meet challenges in the market. They are seeking for a talented Purchasing Coordinator to join their team on a full time basis! DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Act as Main Supplier and Sr. Management window in negotiating and resolving costing, quality and delivery issues. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent the company in negotiating costing, lead times and tooling with suppliers Issue and track RFQ packets to current supply base Locate potential new vendors of materials or components and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials. Support to resolve supplier grievances and claims against the company Support in the creation and control purchasing department budgets. Review and evaluate costing and other specifications for awarding business. Performs onsite assessments/audits at suppliers as needed Monitor supplier development activities to assure supplier readiness Prepare and issue monthly reports for Sr. Management review and approval Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the company Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel up to 10-15% Requirements: DESCRIPTION OF QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field
Experience: Prior Purchasing experience preferred (2-5 years). Purchasing in Automotive/Manufacturing is a plus. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities. Ability to read, understand and envision component drawings.
