Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking part-time Psych Tech candidates to join the clinical teams at the following programs:
Adult Mental Health : Respite care, medication delivery Children, Youth and Families Mental Health : Skills Development Specialists (youth mentors) Crisis Recovery Unit (CRU) : an adult residential mental health facility for men and women that operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Located in Layton, Utah. Davis County Receiving Center (RC): a 23-72 hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution. This facility provides observation, screening and social detoxification for police drop-offs, emergency department transfers and walk-in crisis services. The primary purpose of the Receiving Center is to provide a short length of stay and a focus on stabilizing the crisis and returning a person to community supports. Located in Layton, Utah. Quest : Youth/adolescent day treatment. Current Openings The following positions are currently available:
CRU Part-time Swing Shift Saturday & Sunday 4pm - 12am 1-2 on-call shifts per week Davis County Receiving Center Full-time Swing Shift Sunday through Thursday 3pm - 11pm Part-time Swing Shift Friday 3pm - 11pm Saturday & Sunday 4pm - 12am 1-2 on-call shifts per week Please visit the DBH Employment Opportunities page ( for specific details on each of these positions and to complete the formal employment application.
Schedule These positions are all classified as full-time or part-time, non-exempt. Full-time employees are expected to work 40 hours per week while part-time staff must work less than 30 hours per week.
The assigned schedule varies by position and is outlined in the job posting on the DBH Employment page.
Strong preference will be given to candidates who are bi-lingual English/Spanish; however, this is not a requirement. A Spanish-language incentive stipend is available for candidates who successfully pass a Spanish-language assessment upon hire.
Compensation The hourly rate for this position is outlined below
$17.75 per hour for Psych Techs with less than 1 year of related experience at time of hire or peer candidates without a bachelors degree $18.75 per hour for peer candidates with a bachelors degree and no professional license OR Psych Techs with 1 year of related experience at time of hire. Required Experience Minimum Requirements The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
DBH utilizes an electronic medical health records system, so computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
High school graduation and one year of full-time employment in a related clerical field. Microsoft Word and Outlook knowledge preferred. Typing a net of 35-40 wpm preferred but not mandatory.
