Need Channel Sales Person Summary:
The Proposal Manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating proposal development efforts, ensuring technical and commercial effectiveness to secure bids. They act as a liaison between the proposal team and customers/sub-suppliers, manage RFQs, and cultivate strong customer relations. The role requires exceptional communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities: 1. Proposal Management (70%) Serve as a liaison between the proposal team and customers/sub-suppliers to ensure technical and commercial effectiveness in bid submissions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and conduct milestone meetings, accommodating varying time zones. Review and analyze RFQs, communicate technical specifications to the team, and initiate proposal engineering efforts. Prepare formal proposal documents, estimate labor and material costs, and ensure adherence to deadlines. Validate final proposals and submit packages on customer proposal sites, considering terms, conditions, and profitability expectations. Coordinate meetings to resolve technical issues between proposal, technical, and customer teams. Manage RFQ and purchase order portals, communicating outcomes to the entire team. Review received orders and organize project handovers when necessary. 2. Customer Relations (20%) Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to stay informed about potential RFQs and provide insights on competitive bids. Respond promptly to emails, calls, and conduct weekly client visits to build sustainable relationships. Identify new business opportunities and prioritize customer satisfaction to generate delight. 3. Other Tasks as Assigned (10%) Create and present on WP solutions and product offerings. Generate monthly and quarterly reports on sales pipeline/forecast and account overviews. Drive process improvements and undertake additional tasks as needed. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering field.
Skills: Proficiency in interpreting machine views, layouts, assembly/part manufacturing/process drawings, and tooling drawings. Ability to conceptualize lean robotic cells based on production requirements, including cycle time identification and payload calculations. Basic knowledge of processes in Automobile Machining and Assembly Lines, with additional advantage for Electric Vehicles expertise. Familiarity with AutoCAD (intermediate level), Solid Edge (basic level), and ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and effective presentation skills. Superior analytical and decision-making abilities, capable of working well under pressure. Excellent multitasking skills with strong organizational abilities and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve objectives.
